In this episode, we speak with Jeffrey Ladish. Jeffrey wears many hats. He is variously a biologist, a cybersecurity and biosecurity consultant at Stanford University, and the founder of Gordian Research, which provides operational security and select biosecurity consulting services.

Jeffrey and Gavan get meta/nerd out on the dual-use model of risk assessment for emerging technologies, discuss the lab origin theory for SARS-CoV-2, and Jeffrey offers some best-practices for your own personal security.

Nick Thurston

Nick Thurston is an actor, writer, and creative producer, committed to leveraging the power of story to expand our consciousness and generate solutions to our problems.

He co-founded the New Guard Theater Company in Los Angeles in the interest of creating an incubational space for cutting edge theater, and from 2016-18 he produced over forty pieces of original work while serving as its co-artistic director. He has appeared in numerous films and series, including Grimm, Snowfall, American Dad, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. As a writer, he has a video game in development and is at work on a series of epic fantasy novels.

He is the producer of the ReRoute podcast.

Jenna is an audio engineer based in Los Angeles, CA.

Darren Wong

Darren Wong is a creative director and designer specializing in UI/UX. He has worked with some of the most influential companies in the creative field, including SONY, Disney, and Interscope, and is also an instructor of product design at the Art Center College of Design.

David Schuler is a two-time Grammy Award nominated, multi-platinum worldwide selling record producer, songwriter, film composer and filmmaker from Rochester, NY.
